The Country Western Collective story.

G’day!

I'm Kelsey (Kels), the owner and creator of Country Western Collective. I live in a small semi rural town of D'Aguilar Qld with my husband Peely, 2 beautiful kids Marlee and Fletcher, and my beautiful Mum Robyn, where my husband and I run a small hobby sheep farm in our spare time.

The birth of my boy in 2022 solidified my want for being home with my babies. With my eldest starting prep in 2023, I resigned from my 9-5 job after 12 years and after a solid nudge from my nearest and dearest, Country Western Collective was born, my very own country label. I can admit that the foundations of this idea have been created on my phone, in the wee hours of the morning whilst awake breastfeeding my baby boy (like right now lol). Ordering stock, creating logos, choosing colour schemes and fonts, approving designs and designing a website to name a few have mostly been configured by ambient light and many silent nights of research in my sons bedroom.

I am my best self when out West, driving by fields of grass, mountain backdrops on beautiful sunny days away from the chaos of life, and it was one Sunday afternoon in my happy place on the banks of Somerset Dam, I made the decision to bring my idea to life. So here I am, an amateur trying to navigate the small business world.

Your business allows me the flexibility of watching my babies grow up (feel me mamas when I say the time passes too quickly!?) whilst I enjoy, create and grow as a small business owner too. I have thrown so much of my love, energy and passion into this opportunity, your support whether it be a purchase, or a like or share on social media, helps this little dream of mine get going.
